Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT)
Mars Area School District has implemented the District’s Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) program. BYOT is a current trend in education that encourages students to bring their own personal mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops into the classroom to use for educational purposes. Please refer to the links under the "Contents" section for more information about the BYOT program.
Note: In accordance with District Policy 237 Electronic Devices & Personal Technology Resources, the “use of mobile devices and related technology during class is prohibited, except when as an aid to instruction by the classroom instructor.” Students will not be permitted to use mobile devices during non-instructional time, when all devices should be powered off and secured in a manner in which the device is neither seen nor heard.
