Food Service Department
Mars Area School District offers daily breakfast and lunch in every school. The lunch price for the 2022-2023 School Year is $2.80 for elementary students (K-6). Breakfast is $1.00 for all elementary students. The a la carte milk price is 65 cents. The lunch price is $3.00 for middle school and high school students and breakfast is $1.00 for these students.
The District participates in the National School Lunch Program, which offers discounted or free meals to eligible families. Applications for the program are available online at www.marsk12.org and at www.compass.state.pa.us. All children approved for free or reduced-price meals the previous year are automatically eligible for the first 30 days of the next school year. (Note: Mars Area High School and Mars Area Middle School do not participate in the National School Lunch Program; however, eligible students in Grades 7-12 may still apply for discounted or free meals. An application specific to the High School/Middle School program is available at www.marsk12.org.)

USDA Summer Food Service Program
The USDA Summer Food Service Program offers free meals for all children and teens, ages 18 and younger, at many locations throughout the community during the summer months while school is not in session.
