Note: During the 2020-2021 School Year, Mars Area School District will be utilizing
remote learning, which may be used in place of a school day that has been cancelled
because of inclement weather or another emergency situation. Students and parents/
guardians will be informed of a Remote Learning Day through the District’s mass
notification system in the same way that school closings and delays
are announced. For more information, click on the following link:
Mars Area School District sends out phone/e-mail messages regarding
school closings/delays to all District parents and employees via the District's
electronic notification system. Any parent(s) who does not receive a phone call/e-mail
regarding a school closing/delay should first verify that his/her contact information
is listed correctly in the Skyward Family Access portal. The phone numbers/e-mail
addresses listed for each parent in Skyward are those that are contacted in the event
of a School/Closing Delay. If the information is found to be is accurate, parent(s)
should contact their child's school building directly to report the issue.
Mars Area School District realizes that the decision to delay the start of classes or to close school because of inclement weather conditions may have a significant impact on Mars Area families.
