Health & Safety Plan 2021-2022
On July 20, 2021, Mars Area School Board approved Mars Area School District’s Health & Safety Plan for the 2021-2022 School Year.
As stated in the plan, the District will, once again, open for regular five-day “traditional” instruction and will adjust accordingly in the event of a substantial increase in COVID-19 cases. Signage and markings will remain in each building to serve as reminders for individuals to continue to maintain proper social distancing.
Under the current plan, the use of face coverings (masks or shields) will be voluntary, as the District will not require that face coverings be worn by either students or staff. Note: As per a Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) mandate, face coverings are required for all students and drivers on school buses.
**UPDATE** — In compliance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) order (issued Aug. 31), all students, staff and visitors to Mars Area School District will be required to wear an appropriate face covering (mask or shield) when in school. For more information click on the following links:
