Skyward
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Parents/guardians, who log in to the Skyward student information system, now have the option to set-up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
This additional layer of security counters the risk of unauthorized access to Skyward accounts. MFA requires parents/guardians to (1) log in with their username and password and (2) to enter a one-time passcode generated by a One-Time Password (OTP) App, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, on a smartphone or computer. For more information, click on the following:
Parents/guardians, who opt to set up MFA, will be prompted to complete the information at login. Within a set time period, users who log out of their account may log back without completing MFA; however, after that time period has elapsed, users will be prompted to re-authenticate.
Any specific questions regarding Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) or setting up a One-Time Password (OTP) App may be directed to the Mars Help Desk at [email protected] or online at http://helpdesk.marsk12.org.
