Changes to School Immunization Requirements Now in Effect As of Aug. 1, 2017, the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s changes to school immunization regulations went into effect. Every child must have the required medically appropriate vaccines or a plan to obtain those vaccines or he/she will risk exclusion from school.
