Mars Area School District is listed as 10th among local public school districts, according to the 2018 Honor Roll rankings published by the Pittsburgh Business Times on April 30.

In addition, the District ranked 33rd among statewide public districts and sixth among public districts and charter schools in 2018 High School Keystone Exams scores.

All Pittsburgh Business Times rankings are based on Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) scores for students in Grades 3-8 and PSSA and Keystone Exam scores for 11th-graders. The results include a “two-year gain,” which ranks districts based on the most improvement in test scores over a two-year period.
