On Dec. 19, Mars Area School District administrators and principals participated in a special training program offered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).

 

Law enforcement officials updated District administrators on the opioid epidemic that is continuing to plague Butler County, Pennsylvania and the nation. Officials also reviewed the risk factors that lead to opioid use and the warning signs for identifying opioid or drug use among students. 

 

District teachers and staff members have previously received training on teen drug use, including common indicators and warning signs.
