The Mars Area High School Fightin’ Planets mascot advanced to the Quarterfinal Round (of 8) of The 64’s annual America’s Best High School Mascot Tournament; but was defeated by Boyne City.
The Fightin' Planets jumped past Jeannette Jayhawks in the Third Round (of 16), held Oct. 21-23; surmounted the Lancaster Gales in the Second Round (of 32), held Oct. 18-20; and prevailed over the Springfield Solon Senators in First Round (of 64), held Oct. 15-17.
The 64’s annual America’s Best High School Mascot Tournament was a six-round, fan-voted competition that featured high school mascots from across the country competing in head-to-head matchups.
The Fightin’ Planets earned an invitation to the tournament, following an outstanding display of community support during the 2026 National High School Mascot Brackets competition, in which the Fightin’ Planets captured the title of Best High School Mascot in America.
