Mars Area School District families are encouraged to contribute to a fundraiser to benefit Mars Area Centennial School paraprofessional Luke Cisar.

“Mr. C,” as he is called by his students, recently experienced a medical emergency that resulted in the amputation of his left leg. As he continues his recovery and rehabilitation, he is also facing significant financial challenges related to missed work, accessibility needs, and ongoing medical and mobility expenses.

To help support Mr. C, Mars Area families are asked to contribute in one or more of the following ways:

• Inspired by Mr. C’s message, “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade,” host a neighborhood lemonade stand (before July 31), asking neighbors, friends and family members to donate directly to the fundraiser.
