Students to Join in Performance of Annie Jr.

14 portraitsSeveral Mars Area School District students will join the cast of Batavia Studios’ production of Annie Jr., which takes the stage May 8-10 at the Succop Theater (Butler).

Fifth-grader Maggie Meisel is leading the cast in the title role as Annie. Additional cast members include eighth-grader Carter Ranson as Lily St. Regis; seventh-grader Grace Carnicelli as Grace; sixth-graders Amaya Constant as Mrs. Greer/Grandma, Maggie Coopey as Statue of Liberty, Amelia Forte as Bundles, and Anna Miller as Annette; fifth-graders Brendan Sweeney as Dog Catcher/Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Ellie Mowen as Apple Seller/Ensemble; third-graders Annie Coval as Molly, Addison Winn as Mrs. Pugh, Hazel Morrow as Featured Orphan/Sound Effects, and Quinn Grady as Orphan/Usherette; and first-grader Alledria Bauman as Molly.

Annie Jr. follows the plucky orphan as she escapes her “hard-knock life” in an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan to try and find her parents, but instead finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks.
