Members of Mars Area High School’s Science National Honor Society chap-ter offered a “STEAM Day” activity for students at Mars Area Primary Center School on April 1.
Students (Grades K-1) rotated between six stations focused on chemistry, physics and general science. Activities included the “Candle Vacuum Extravaganza,” “Diffusion” “Elephant Toothpaste,” “Mini Magic Storm,” “Oobleck,” and the “Science of Racing.”
The program offered the high school students a chance to share their knowledge with younger students and was meant to spark and encourage an interest in science-related courses and topics. For details, call (724) 625-1581.
