Mars Area High School students will present The Wizard of Oz at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, and at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, in the auditorium.

The show recounts L. Frank Baum’s classic novel about the young Dorothy Gale (portrayed by Jenna Smith), who is swept away by a tornado to the magical land of Oz. On a journey to the Emerald City, she encounters a host of characters, from good witches to bad witches, to animals that talk, scarecrows that walk, and many things magical to behold.
