With severe winter weather, including potentially high snow totals, in the forecast for this weekend, Mars Area School District is asking all parents/guardians to be prepared for possible School Closures and/or Remote Learning Days at the start of next week.
In addition, all parents/guardians are asked to remind your child(ren) to make sure that they have everything that they may need (District-provided device, textbooks, workbooks, assignments, etc.) before exiting their building at the end of the school day on Friday, Jan. 23. Please note that, should our schools be closed due to weather, there will be no access to the buildings to retrieve forgotten items.
Our District will continue to closely monitor the weather throughout the weekend. Any decision to delay the start of school, to close our schools, or to switch to a Remote Learning Day will be communicated, as usual, through the District’s notification system, on the District’s website, and via local news stations.
We understand that school closings, delays and/or Remote Learning Days may sometimes be inconvenient; however, please know that we always try to make the best decision to consider the safety of our students and staff members as they travel to and from school. Thank you.
Sincerely,
MASD Administration
