Mars Area High School seniors Ayden Yocum and Cecilia Christy were crowned as the school’s 2025 Homecoming Queen and King.

Other Homecoming Court members were queen candidates Eden Brennan, Zuri Edwards, Ava Girdwood, Olivia Hanna, Addison Orehowsky, Anya Peck and Bella Staines; and, king candidates Adam Budzilek, Zach Dentel, Sean Franklin, Ethan Kresinski, Chase Lamm, Braden Schmitt and Grady Speigle.

Mars Area High School celebrated Homecoming, Sept. 29-Oct. 4, with students participating in Spirit Week theme days and other activities to earned points for their class. This year, the senior class earned the most points and was awarded the school’s coveted Spirit Stick.

The annual Homecoming Parade traversed through Downtown Mars on Oct. 3, followed by the Homecoming Football Game, at which the Fightin’ Planets defeated the Knoch Knights 56-0. Christy was crowned at halftime.

On Oct. 4, high school students attended the 2024 Homecoming Dance, themed “Midnight in Manhattan,” at Mars Area Middle School. Yocum was crowned at the dance.
