Mars Area School Board has appointed Matthew Duff to fill the soon-to-be vacant seat of Board member Sallie Wick, who is resigning from the Board, effective June 30. 

A Valencia resident, Duff manages the UPMC Corporate Fraud and Investigations Program within the Office of Compliance, Ethics and Audit Services. He previously served as a federal agent/criminal investigator.

Duff holds a master’s degree from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania as well as numerous professional certifications and licensure, including Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner.

Duff will be sworn in at the Board’s Regular Meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16. He will serve on the Board from July 1 through December 4. He
