Fifth-grader Addison Jacoby was selected for Best Dessert Crêpe; junior Emma Hannan for Best Savory Crêpe; sophomore Lillian Wolf for the Best Crêpe Resembling the Planet Mars; and, junior Effie Frank for Best Crêpe Flip (www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJVhYg6K1es). Each winner will received a gift card to La Gourmandine (Pittsburgh).
This year’s competition, held in celebration of La Chandeleur and Mardi Gras, was opened to all Mars Area School District students (K-12). Participants were asked to take and share a photo or video of themselves making a crêpe or of the finished product on TikTok, Twitter or Instagram.
