Mars Area School Board approved an increase in the daily pay rate for day-to-day substitute teachers at Mars Area School District’s schools, effective Jan. 1, 2022.

The starting rate is now $110/per day and increases to $120 per day after 30 days worked in one school year. Retired Mars Area School District teachers, who are working as a day-to-day substitute teachers, will start at $120 per day.
