On March 16, Mars Area School Board formally appointed Brandstetter to the position to replace Jill Swaney, who is retiring at the end of the 2020-2021 School Year.
Brandstetter holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Robert Morris University and is pursuing a master’s degree in school business leadership at Wilkes University.
She previously served as Business Administrator at Riverside Beaver County School District (Ellwood City); Director of Business Services at Butler Area School District; Director of Business Affairs at South Butler County School District; Treasury & Account Manager at Siemens Water Technologies (Warrendale); Controller at Armstrong Group of Companies (Butler); Accountant at Tech Team Inc. (Butler); and as an Accountant at Ken Small CPA (Pittsburgh).
A resident of Saxonburg, Brandstetter is also a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO).
