Mars Area School Board has reorganized for 2020.

John Kennedy, who was re-elected to the Board this fall, was appointed as Board President; and, Rita Dorsch as Board Vice President. Gordon Marburger was re-appointed as Board Treasurer.

Other Board members include Dayle Ferguson and Christine Valenta as well as new members Anthony Depretis, Kevin Hagen, Megan Lenz and Sallie Wick.

• Anthony Depretis is president and CEO of Anthony Custom Homes LLC and AM Capital Partners LLC. A resident of Adams Township, he and his wife, Ann, have three children.
• Kevin Hagen is a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer at Matrix PDM Engineers (Sewickley). A Valencia resident, he and his wife, Nikki, have four children.
• Megan Lenz, a paramedic, is a resident of Adams Township. She and her husband, Ed, have three children.
• Sallie Wick, a stay-at-home mom, previously worked in human resources and facility management. A resident of Mars, she and her husband, David, have three children.

Also of note, the Board set its 2020 meeting dates. Meetings will continue to be held at 7 p.m. on the first and second Tuesday of each month, respectively, with a few exceptions: Jan. 7 and 14; Feb. 4 and 11; March 3 and 10; April 7 and 14; May 5 and 12; June 2 and 9; July 14; Aug. 4 and 11; Sept. 1 and 8; Oct. 1 and 8; Nov. 4 (Wednesday) and 10; and Dec. 1.
