Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team will take on the WC Rustin Knights in the quarterfinals of the 2026 PIAA Class 2A Girls Varsity Lacrosse Championship at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Park (Mechanicsburg).

The Lady Planets defeated the Susquehannock Warriors 13-7 in the first round of the PIAA playoffs on June 2. The team advanced to the state playoffs after earning its fifth consecutive WPIAL Title, defeating the Quaker Valley Quakers 19-5 in the WPIAL Championships on May 21.

The team tamed the South Fayette Lions 14-11 in the WPIAL Semifinals on May 18; and, grounded the Oakland Catholic Eagles 23-1 in the WPIAL Quarterfinals on May 13. The Planets ended the regular season with an overall record of 16-1 and went undefeated (10-0) in section play, earning the Section 2-2A title.
