Mars Area School District will hold its 2025 Homecoming Celebration, Monday, Sept. 29, through Saturday, Oct. 4.
This year’s theme is “Midnight in Manhatten” The District’s schools will hold the following Spirit Week theme days:
- Monday, Sept. 29 — “PJ Day” — Comfy clothes or pajamas
- Tuesday, Sept. 30 — “Party in the USA” — Red, white & blue colors
- Wednesday, Oct. 1 —
- High School & Middle School — “Where’d You Go” — Camouflage apparel
- Grades K-6 — “#bethekindkid Day” — #bethekindkid apparel
- Thursday, Oct. 2 —
- High School & Middle School — “Clash of the Classes” — Black (Grade 12), Blue (Grade 11), Red (Grade 10), Orange (Grade 9), Black (Grade 8), Red, (Grade 7)
- Grades K-6 — “Jersey Day” — Sports team apparel
- Friday, Oct. 3 — “Mars Day” — Blue and gold colors
The 2025 Homecoming Parade will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, in Downtown Mars, followed by the Fightin’ Planets Homecoming Football Game against the Knoch Knights at 7 p.m. at Mars Athletic Complex. The Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime.
The week will conclude with Mars Area High School’s 2024 Homecoming Dance, to be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Mars Area Middle School. The Homecoming King will be crowned during the dance.
Dance tickets are $20 per student and may be purchased, Monday, Sept. 22, through Friday, Oct. 3, at the Student Council booth at Mars Area High School. A completed Homecoming Ticket Order Form (available online at www.marsk12.org) and payment is due at the time of ticket purchase. Checks may be made payable to “Mars High Activity Fund.”
