Mars Area School District will commemorate Red Ribbon Week, Monday, Oct. 28, through Friday, Nov. 1, with the following theme days:
- Monday, Oct. 28 — “Your Choices are the Key to Your Dreams” — wear pajamas (K-12)
- Tuesday, Oct. 29 —
- Grades K-8 — “Don’t Get Tied Up with Drugs” — wear tie-dye
- High School — “Hunt for Success”— Camouflage Day
- Wednesday, Oct. 30 —
- Grades K-8 — “Be the Kind Kid” — #bethekindkid apparel
- High School — “I Tune Out Drugs” — Rock Band Day
- Thursday, Oct. 31 —
- Grades K-8 — “Our School Chooses to be Drug Free” — wear sports jerseys
- High School — “We Scare Drugs Away” — Spooky Day
- Friday, Nov. 1 —
- Grades K-8 — “Staying Drug Free is No Sweat” — wear workout gear
- High School — “Voting for My Future” — Red, White, and Blue Day
The purpose of the annual event is to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse. For more information, contact the individual school building.
