Mars Area High School will hold a “Salute to Service Night” at the Fightin’ Planets Homecoming Football Game against the Highlands Golden Rams at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, at Mars Athletic Complex.
Former and/or active members of the military and first responders (with valid identification) will receive free admission to the game. Adams Area Fire District will fly the America Flag over the stadium and members of Pine-Richland/Mars Area U.S. Air Force JROTC will present the Colors.
Prior to the start of the game, the District will recognize senior Reva Kalbhor, who was named a 2022-2023 U.S. Air Force JROTC Regional Cadet of the Year (Region 2) and an AFA Cadet Leadership Award winner; and, between the first and second quarters, those servicemen and women and veterans in attendance.
In addition, the football team will wear special camo uniforms and the Student Section will have a “camo” theme with American towels.
