Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team will take on the South Fayette Lions in the final game of the 2023 WPIAL Class 2A Boys Varsity Lacrosse Championship at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, at Robert Morris University’s Joe Walton Stadium.

The Fightin’ Planets triumphed over the Hampton Talbots 18-4 in the WPIAL Semifinals on May 22; and tamed the Moon Area Tigers 17-1 in the WPIAL Quarterfinals on May 17. The team ended the regular season with an overall record of 16-2 and went undefeated (10-0) in section, earning the 2023 Section 2-2A title.
