Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team will take on the Strath Haven Panthers in the quarterfinals of the 2021 PIAA Class 2A Girls Varsity Lacrosse Championships at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, at State College Area High School.

The Lady Planets grounded the Conneaut Area Eagles 15-7 in the first round of PIAA playoffs on June 1. The team defeated the Blackhawk Cougars 10-3 in the final game of the 2021 WPIAL Class 2A Girls Varsity Lacrosse Championship on May 26, winning the WPIAL title and earning a spot in the state playoffs.

The team trounced the Hampton Talbots 16-13 in the WPIAL semifinals on May 24; and beat the Aquinas Academy Crusaders 19-5 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on May 20. The Planets ended the regular season with an overall record of 16-0 and 8-0 in section play, earning the 2021 Section 2-2A title.
