Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team will take on the Conneaut Area Eagles in the first round of the 2021 PIAA Class 2A Girls Varsity Lacrosse Championships at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, at Moon Area High School.

The Lady Planets defeated the Blackhawk Cougars 10-3 in the final game of the 2021 WPIAL Class 2A Girls Varsity Lacrosse Championship on May 26, winning the WPIAL title and earning a spot in the state playoffs.

The team trounced the Hampton Talbots 16-13 in the WPIAL semifinals on May 24; and beat the Aquinas Academy Crusaders 19-5 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on May 20. The Planets ended the regular season with an overall record of 16-0 and 8-0 in section play, earning the 2021 Section 2-2A title.
