Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team will take on the Gateway Gators in the preliminary round of the 2020-2021 WPIAL Class 5A Girls Basketball Championship at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 1, at Mars Area High School.

The Lady Planets ended the 2020-2021 regular season with an overall record of 7-9 and 6-6 in Section 2-5A.
Admission to all WPIAL playoff games is $7; however, given current gathering limitations and social distancing guidelines, as established by the Pennsylvania Office of the Governor and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, limited advance ticket sales will only be available to the families of those basketball players who are participating in the game. All ticket sales will be handled by the Athletic Office.
