Mars Area High School students will present the musical, Mamma Mia!, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, and Friday, Feb. 12, and at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, and Saturday, Feb. 13, in the auditorium.

The story, told through the music of ABBA, follows Sophie (Meghan McKenzie), a young woman searching for her birth father to give her away at her wedding; but, her mother, Donna (Ellie Howell), the former lead singer of a 1970s pop group, refuses to talk about the past. Sneaking a peek at her mother’s old diaries, Sophie invites three potential candidates Bill (Ethan Kemper), Harry (John Kiewall) and Sam (Zachary Brunotts), to her wedding. 

Note: Given current gathering limitations and social distancing guidelines, as established by the Pennsylvania Office of the Governor and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, attendance will be restricted to 10-percent capacity and a limited number of tickets will be made available only to the families of cast and crew members at this time. (Any additional ticket sales, if available, will be announced on Mars Area School District’s website, www.marsk12.org.) All seating will be assigned to promote social distancing. And, all attendees will be reminded that face coverings (masks or shields) and social distancing will be required at all times.
