Mars Area High School will issue Parking Permits for the 2020-2021 School Year from 9 to 3 p.m. on the following dates:
- Wednesday, Aug. 11 — Vo-Tech Students & Seniors.
- Thursday, Aug. 12 — Juniors involved in extracurricular activities or who will be working immediately after school during the first semester.
Students must sign up online at www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0a49a9a622a2fd0-mahs1 for a time to pick-up a 2020-2021 Parking Permit. At the selected time, the student will need to present a completed Student Parking Application (available online at https://4.files.edl.io/8559/08/03/20/202321-24956fd4-04a5-4778-b32e-e853f46232f3.pdf); Emergency Authorization Form; Drug Testing Consent Form; a valid driver’s license; vehicle registration; insurance card; and the fee payment.
The Parking Permit Fee is $175 for a year-long permit or $87.50 for a semester permit. (Note: Current seniors, who held a parking permit during the 2019-2020 School Year and are due a fourth-quarter refund, will pay for $131.25 for a 2020-2021 Parking Permit.) Parking permits will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
All students are reminded that driving to school is a privilege, not a right. Students may lose this privilege for improper conduct or a violation of the school’s student parking regulations and/or District Policy 223 Use of Motor Vehicles.
