Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team will take on the South Fayette Lions in the quarterfinals of the 2019-2020 WPIAL Class 5A Boys Basketball Championship at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, at North Hills High School.

The Planets ended the 2019-2020 regular season with an overall record of 17-5 and 12-2 in Section 3-5A, earning the team’s eighth consecutive section title. In 2018-2019, the Fightin’ Planets advanced to the semifinals of the 2019 PIAA Class 5A Boys Basketball Championship; and won their team’s second consecutive WPIAL Class 5A Boys Basketball Championship title.

Tickets for all WPIAL playoff games are $7 for adults and $5 for students and are available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Mars Area High School’s Athletic Office. (Note: No student tickets will be sold at the gate.)
