Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team will take on the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers in the quarterfinals of the 2020 PIAA Class 3A Boys Varsity Soccer Championships at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Mars Athletic Complex
The Fightin’ Planets defeated the Franklin Regional Panthers 2-1 in overtime in the final game of the 2020 WPIAL Class 3A Boys Soccer Championship on Nov. 5. The team tamed the South Fayette Lions 3-1 in WPIAL semifinals on Nov. 2; routed the Hampton Talbots 1-0 in double overtime in the quarterfinals on Oct. 28; and broke the Laurel Highlands Mustangs 5-1 in the first round of the playoffs on Oct. 24.
The Planets ended the 2020 regular season undefeated with an overall record of 14-0 and 12-0 in section play, earning the Section 1-3A title.
