Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team will take on the Cathedral Prep Ramblers in the first round of the 2018 PIAA Class 2A Boys Lacrosse Championships at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, at North Allegheny Senior High School.

The Fightin’ Planets tamed the Hampton Talbots 17-4 in the final game of the 2018 WPIAL Class 2A Boys Varsity Lacrosse Championship on May 25, earning the team’s third consecutive WPIAL title.

The team conquered the Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic Trojans 20-5 in the WPIAL semifinals on May 23; and swatted the Freeport Yellowjackets 18-5 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on May 17. The Planets ended the 2018 regular season with an overall record of 14-1and 4-0 in section play, earning the 2018 Section 1-2A title.
