Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team will take on the Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic Trojans in the semifinal round of the 2018 WPIAL Class 2A Boys Varsity Lacrosse Championship at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, at North Allegheny Senior High School.

The Fightin’ Planets defeated the Freeport Yellowjackets 18-5 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on May 17. The team ended the 2018 regular season with an overall record of 14-1and 4-0 in section play, earning the 2018 Section 1-2A title.
