Mars Area School District’s elementary schools (K-6) will celebrate Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 23-26, with various theme days:
- Tuesday, Oct. 23 — “The Best Me is Drug Free!” Day. Students may wear red colors.
- Wednesday, Oct. 24 — “Count on Me to Be Drug Free!” Day. Students may wear any number.
- Thursday, Oct. 25 — “Sock It to Drugs!” Day. Students may wear crazy socks.
- Friday, Oct. 26 — “Team Up Against Drugs!” Students may wear their favorite sports team apparel.
Red Ribbon Week, sponsored by National Family Partnership, is an annual drug, alcohol and tobacco prevention awareness campaign. For more information, visit http://redribbon.org/.
