Throughout the process of developing the 2020-2021 Mars Area School District School Reopening Health & Safety Plan, the District engaged with the school community and encouraged input and feedback from parents/guardians, students, staff and community members.

 

Mars Area School District initiated the process of developing a 2020-2021 School Reopening Health & Safety Plan by establishing a Reopening Committee, made up of District administrators, teachers/staff members, Board members and parents. Mars Area School District conducted three (3) surveys to gather input from parents/guardians regarding the three instructional options outlined in the District’s 2020-2021 School Reopening Health & Safety Plan as well as the plan itself. The third survey asked parents to make a decision as to what instructional option they would choose for their child(ren). On Aug. 4, Mars Area School District held a Virtual Community Forum to offer an update on the development of the District’s 2020-2021 School Reopening Health & Safety Plan.
