Fourth-graders at Mars Area School District will join in a Pi Day activity from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13.
Pre-service teacher (preK-4) candidates in Butler County Community College’s Mathematics for Teacher Education II class will lead fourth-graders through various stations focused on discovering the mathematical constant pi (3.14159265359...) and how the constant relates to art, mathematics, writing and more.
Stations will include “Jobs the Use Pi Memory,” “Pi Art,” “Pi Bracelet,” “Pi Card Game,” “Pi Paper Chain,” “Pi Word Challenge,” “Pi City,” “Pi Investigations,” “Piku,” “Pi Puzzles,” “Pi Reflection,” “Pi Toss,” and a “Roll the Dice Pi Race.”
