Mars Area Primary Center and Mars Area Centennial School will celebrate Read Across America Week, Friday, Feb. 23, through Friday, March 1.
- Monday, Feb. 26 — “Surfs Up for Reading” Day — Students may wear a Hawaiian shirt.
- Tuesday, Feb. 27 — “Reading JOGS the Mind” Day — Students may wear exercise clothes to school.
- Wednesday, Feb. 28 — “Read Your Shirt” Day — Students may wear a shirt with letters or words. Mars Area Primary Center students will join in field trips to Mars Area Public Library.
- Thursday, Feb. 29 — “Reading Gives You Superpowers” Day — Students may dress as their favorite superhero. Mars Area Primary Center students will join in field trips to Mars Area Public Library.
- Friday, March 1 — “Be a Storybook Character” Day — Students may dress up as their favorite storybook character. Members of Mars Area High School Varsity Baseball Team will read to Mars Area Primary Center students.
