Mars Area Centennial School will hold several theme days, Monday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 16, in celebration of the school’s American Heart Association fundraiser.
- Monday, Feb. 12 — “Wake up with love in your heart! Get plenty of sleep to wake up and feel energized!” — wear pajamas.
- Tuesday, Feb. 13 — “Exercise makes the heart healthy!” — wear work-out gear
- Wednesday, Feb. 14 — “Remember to take care of your heart!”— wear red, purple, pink, or a shirt with hearts.
- Thursday, Feb. 15 — “Tackle Heart Disease!” wear a sports apparel.
- Friday, Feb. 16 — “Going to school is good for the heart and the mind!” — wear school colors (blue & gold)
The school is continuing to accept donations online at https://www2.heart.org/site/TR?pg=company&fr_id=9738&company_id=433665 or via the American Heart Challenge App through Friday, March 1.
Throughout the fundraiser, students will be learning about proper heart health, while participating in heart healthy activities in their physical education classes. Students will also be asked to collect donations for the American Heart Association.
