DAY TWO - Five-Day Rotation (K-6)

What
DAY TWO - Five-Day Rotation (K-6)
When
9/1/2017

Beginning with the 2017-2018 School Year, Mars Area School District’s elementary schools (K-6) will be on a five-day rotation.

The first day of school (Thursday, Aug. 24) will be considered Day One; Day Two will be on the second day (Friday, Aug. 25), Day Three on the third day (Monday, Aug. 28), etc. The sequence then resets after Day Five. (The next "Day One" would be on Thursday, Aug. 31).

The change was made in an effort to make sure that all students are able to attend their Special Area classes (art, library/media studies, music, physical education and STEAM) when school is not in session. Previously, students who had a Special Area class on a day when school was not in session (e.g. in-service day, snow cancellation, etc.) would not attend that class until the next week or next available date.

Questions regarding the five-day rotation, may be directed to your student's building principal.
