Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team will hold its fifth annual “Project Pink Planet” fundraiser at the team’s home game against the Lincoln Park Leopards at 7 p.m. (JV at 6 p.m.) on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

The “Play for PINK (Prevention, Immediate Diagnosis, New Technology, Knowledge)” event will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Festivities will include pink-colored concessions; t-shirt, bandana and bracelet sales; a basket raffle; and more.

In addition, team members will be sporting pink with their uniforms in support of the cause. And, event-goers are also encouraged to wear pink. Team members are selling event t-shirts through Tuesday, Oct. 10, during all lunch periods at Mars Area High School. Cost is $10.
