Art

Welcome to Art...
Art is no longer defined by the traditional categories of painting, drawing and sculpture. Its boundaries have expanded and its edges are fuzzy. In an effort to capture the human condition, an artist amalgamates his experiences. The student artist works with a full palette of acquired physical, academic and social knowledge. He analyzes and synthesizes experience to filter meaning that can be expressed visually. The result can be utilitarian or useless, rooted in heartbreak or whimsy. Whether this product is realized in paint, film, or product design; the root of self-expression through problem solving is the same. Art is the pursuit of pure idea.
The following are the current art courses offered for students in Grades 7-12:
- Exploratory Art
- 20th Century Art History
