Food Service/Cafeteria

Mars Area School District contracts with The Nutrition Group to provide food services to students at our school buildings. Anyone interested in a job as a cafeteria worker will be an employee of The Nutrition Group. Anyone interested in applying for one of the following open positions should contact Jamie Bertschinger, food service director, at (724) 625-1988.

Mars Area High School

  • No position available at this time.
 

Mars Area Middle School

  • General Worker (temporary) - 3.75-hour  position (Hours: M-F 9:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) Duties will include food preparation and service, following safety standards, wiping tables, helping with other tasks in the kitchen and washing dishes. Must have all clearances prior to working in the schools.  
 

Mars Area Centennial School

  • No positions available at this time. 

Mars Area Elementary School

  • General Worker/Monitor (temporary) - 3.25-hour position (Hours: M-F 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.). Duties will include stocking snack items and condiments, monitoring students during lunch time, following safety standards, wiping tables, occasionally helping with light kitchen tasks, and washing dishes. Must have all clearances prior to working in the schools. 
 

Mars Area Primary Center

  • Monitor - 2.25-hour position (Hours: M-F 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.). Duties will include monitoring students during lunch time, following safety standards, wiping tables, occasionally helping in the kitchen and washing dishes. Must have all clearances prior to working in the schools.
