Pennsylvania School Climate Surveys
Mars Area School District students (Grades 3-12) will be completing Pennsylvania School Climate surveys, as provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The surveys include questions related to school climate and measure four main domains:
- Social/Emotional Learning
- Student Support
- High Expectations/Academic Rigor & Challenge
- Safe & Respectful School Climate.
Opt-Out Form
Parents/guardians are asked to note that student participation is completely voluntary; however, as the survey results will be used for future improvement planning and programming, the District would like for all students to take part.
Any parents(s)/guardian(s), who do not want their child to complete the survey, are asked to please complete an online “opt-out” form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSebT9Hi37R8868RDtedsEhW3xTZ6VgCpaJzzREY1q7gIMlIrw/viewform by no later than noon on Sunday, May 14. (Note: Parents(s)/guardian(s), who have multiple students in the District’s schools, are asked to complete one form per student who is being opted out of the survey.) Any student, for whom an “opt out” form has not been submitted, will participate in the survey.
