Mars Area School District Health & Safety Plan

As per the Pennsylvania Department of Education, The Mars Area School District Health & Safety Plan serves as the local guidelines for all instructional and non-instructional school reopening activities.

As with all emergency plans, the Mars Area School District Health & Safety Plan is tailored to the unique needs of our school community. Our plan establishes three (3) educational options — Traditional (face-to-face) Instruction, Live Stream Interactive (LSI), or Mars Area Cyber Academy — enabling parents/guardians the ability to choose the best educational pathways for their individual student(s).

Note: Given the dynamic nature of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Mars Area School District Health & Safety Plan is designed to outline teaching and learning modalities that allow flexibility for our students and their families during what may be ever changing conditions. The District is continuing to monitor and update, as needed, its Health & Safety Plan throughout the 2020-2021 School Year, as needed. All revisions will be reviewed and approved by the School Board.

Athletics / Marching Band Health & Safety Plans

In addition to the overall Mars Area School District Health & Safety Plan, our District has developed Health & Safety Plans that are specific to athletics and marching band. For more information regarding each, click on the appropriate links in the right-hand column on this page.
