Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team will take on the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers in the semifinals of the 2026 PIAA Class 2A Boys Varsity Lacrosse Championship at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at Mifflin County High School (Highland Park, Pa.).

The Fightin’ Planets quashed the Upper Dublin Cardinals 10-8 in the PIAA Quarterfinals on June 6; and brought down the Cocalico Eagles 15-5 in the first round of the PIAA playoffs on June 2. The team advanced to state playoffs after earning the Planets’ 10th consecutive WPIAL Title, with a 9-6 win against the South Fayette Lions in the WPIAL Championships on May 21. 

The team trounced the Hampton Talbots 15-9 in the WPIAL Semifinals on May 18; and, grounded the Bethel Park Black Hawks 8-7 in the WPIAL Quarterfinals on May 14. The Planets ended the regular season with an overall record of 12-4 and 9-1 in Section 2-2A.
