Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team will take on the Twin Valley Raiders in the first round of the 2022 PIAA Class 2A Girls Varsity Lacrosse Championship at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at Twin Valley High School (Elverson, Pa.).
The Lady Planets took second place in the WPIAL Class 2A Girls Varsity Lacrosse Championship, after a 17-6 loss to the Chartiers Valley Colts in the final game on May 25.
The team trounced the Hampton Talbots 13-9 in the WPIAL Semifinals on May 23; and quelled the Quaker Valley Quakers 16-6 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on May 18. The Planets ended the regular season with an overall record of 13-3 and 9-1 in Section 2-2A play.
