Students at all Mars Area School District school's are asked to wear PURPLE on Thursday, April 21, to recognize those students with family members serving in the military.

The U.S. Department of Defense has designated April as the Month of the Military Child, says Tanis Rose, Mars Area Middle School counselor. It is a time to recognize military-connected students and their families and emphasize the important role that they play in the armed forces community.
