Mars Area High School Marching Band will compete in the 2021 PIMBA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association) Class 2A Championships, to be held from 4:15 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Gateway High School (Monroeville, Pa.).

The Fightin’ Planets will take the field at 8:45 p.m. and will compete against Class 2A bands from Baldwin, Deer Lakes, Fox Chapel, Gateway, Penn Hills, Trinity and Yough. This year’s band show, themed “Missing U,” features the music of Pink Floyd, including the songs, “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” “Wish You Were Here” and “Welcome to the Machine.”
