Mars Area High School Marching Band will host a Family & Friends Night on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Mars Athletic Complex.

The marching band will offer two separate performances of its 2020-2021 Halftime Show, themed “The Greatest Show,” at 5:15 and 6:30 p.m. The gates will open 15 minutes prior to each show time.

Senior Alex Smith and junior Evan Rojas (drum majors) will lead the band as it performs selections from the 2017 musical drama film, The Greatest Showman, such as “The Greatest Show,” “A Million Dreams,” “From Now On,” and “This is Me.” The band will also  share information about its 2020-2021 season and highlight its senior members, including Teresa Donaldson (flute), Carly King (oboe) and Jackson Olinger (flugelhorn), all of whom perform solos in this year’s show.

The Family & Friends Night is open to the entire community; however, in order to comply with current social distancing guidelines, those planning to attend must sign up in advance online at https://signup.com/go/qedLZpR. All spectators are reminded that face coverings (masks or shields) and social distancing are required at all times within Mars Athletic Complex.
